320 S. 4th StreetAlright, I've been out of my office at Tropicana and Eastern for over 7 months now. I miss the size of the suite and the parking lot, but that is it. The new office downtown has that nice, urban vibe. It is a beautifully refurbished area on 4th street where the street has been redesigned with little parks and trees and landscaping amidst new condo towers under construction. It is the closest I have felt to living back in NYC since I've been in Vegas for 20 years. Okay, I'm pushing it, but it is nice.

When you walk into the office at 320 S. 4th St., you immediately notice the hustle and bustle of people racing around energetically filling their orders and bringing in boxes of new material to work on. Their are large, industrial scanners and printers with posters, blueprints, trial boards, large restaurant ads and everything else you can imagine coming out of them.

My equipment has gone through an upgrade so it's exciting to try out new things and new ways of doing them. If you haven't been in yet, pop in to say hello.

Sundance Video has produced several more projects for Aristocrat Technologies. The projects involve the latest game from Aristocrat, based on The Sopranos HBO TV Series. The first was a video teaser which resembles the opening sequence from the hit series. The second was an in depth explanation of the game, with graphics, screen shots, and voiceover.

SUNDANCE CANYON - Kingman, AZ

Sundance Canyon is the new signature residential estate development located in the heart of Kingman, Arizona. Sundance Canyon blends breathtaking desert and mountain vistas with the sublime splendor of an exquisitely designed, custom appointed residential community.

We have produced two commercials so far for this new community in Kingman.

STEPHEN SORRENTINO - Partner/Sundance CanyonStephen Sorrentino

Sorrentino conceived and directed the spots for Sundance Canyon. He wanted a piece that showed the fast pace and congestion of Las Vegas juxtaposed with the tranquility of Kingman. The spots have been very successful so far and the response has been overwhelming considering the first phase is still in construction.

Janet Ten Pas of Altru Entertainment has been very busy lately with shows and conventions. She recently exhibited her company at the G2E expo. She has also been certified by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council. We've done many updates on her website lately, adding shows, video clips and photos to her ever growing collection of productions.

Gail Davies has been busy as well by adding video promos of her 6 shows aboard the Asuka II cruise ship in Japan. The video clips are encoded with Flash video for the greatest compatibility with internet browsers and lots of pictures have been included to enhance the look, feel and consistency of the site.

TECH UPGRADE

Matrox RTX.2

Sundance Video has just upgraded to the latest hardware/software bundle from Matrox Video Systems and Adobe Creative Suite. The Matrox system incorporates High Definition footage (HD) and Standard Definition footage (Mini DV, DVD, VHS, etc) into the same project in real time. It can produce standard DVD as well as HD DVD. The Adobe Creative Suite features the latest versions of Premiere and After Effects for video editing, Photoshop and Illustrator for graphics, Soundbooth for sound production and mixing, and Flash for web creation.

This upgrade has allowed us to convert high definition Powerpoint presentations to Hi Def video. We will also be using the upgraded hardware to produce several spots which will be playing during G2E.

Photo montages take on a whole new look and hi def footage is amazing to look at. The interaction of the software suite maintains consistency from your video presentations to your advertising and to the web seamlessly.
